The Municipality of Lanús announced the completion of renovation works at Plaza El Morro, located at the intersection of San Lorenzo and Domingo Purita streets in Lanús Este. This project is part of the Comprehensive Improvement Plan for public spaces that the local administration is implementing in various neighborhoods. According to the Argentine News Agency, the intervention included reorganizing the sports perimeter: the Olympic fencing was relocated, existing goals were adjusted, and the field was marked, aiming to improve the daily use of the space by families and youth. In parallel, new urban equipment was added: the Municipality stated that trees were planted, along with eight double benches, 16 individual benches, and four tables, along with other complementary improvements to restore a space for community gatherings and recreation. The project also included accessibility features: ramps were constructed for people with reduced mobility, and a mural was created through the Public Art and Muralism area, following an intervention line that combines infrastructure and urban aesthetics.
